This privacy policy applies specifically to the Splashy Words mobile application (“the App”), developed and published by Succulent Enterprises Inc. This policy supplements our general website privacy policy, which covers the Spark Curious Minds website and related services.
Our Commitment to Privacy
Splashy Words is designed for children and families. We take your privacy seriously — especially when it comes to young users. The App is built with children’s privacy as a top priority, and it collects zero personal data.
Data We Collect
None. Splashy Words does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App does not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use.
All game data ( including player names, scores, settings, and custom word lists) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS app storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
No Internet Connection Required
Splashy Words works entirely offline. The App makes no network connections of any kind. It does not send or receive data from external servers, and it does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
No Third-Party Services
The App does not include any third-party advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or data collection services. There are no ads in Splashy Words. The App is built entirely with native Apple technologies and contains no third-party SDKs or frameworks.
Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Splashy Words is designed to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — or from any user of any age. Since the App operates entirely offline with no data collection, no personal information of any kind is gathered.
No parental consent mechanism is required because there is no data collection to consent to.
GDPR and International Compliance
Splashy Words does not process, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. As no data processing occurs, the App is compliant with:
- The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including provisions for children’s data (GDPR-K / Article 8)
- The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
- Applicable state-level App Store Accountability Acts (ASAAs) in Texas, Utah, Louisiana, and California
Data Storage and Deletion
Game progress, player names, custom words, and settings are saved locally on your device only. You can reset all data at any time through the Settings screen within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all stored data permanently.
Parental Controls
The App includes a kid-friendly gatekeeper on the Settings tab that steers children toward gameplay features (“How to Play” and “Start New Game”). Full settings are accessible via a subtle interface element designed for parents and teachers. This ensures children remain focused on the educational experience while adults retain full control over configuration options.
App Store Privacy Label
On the Apple App Store, Splashy Words displays the “No Data Collected” privacy label. This reflects our commitment: the App collects no contact information, health data, financial data, location data, user content, browsing history, identifiers, usage data, or diagnostics.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted on this page and included in the next App update. We will never change our commitment to not collecting personal data from children.
